India smartphone market grew by 30% YoY in Nov-23, propelled by an extended festive season sale during Diwali. Additionally, this month marked the end of festive season sales in India. Indian smartphone market ASP grew just 1% YoY and reached $281 (Retail) in Nov 2023, there was a dip in ASP of smartphones as the shipments reduced post the festive season sale period.
The top five smartphone brands contributed 71% share in the overall shipments during the month.E-commerce platforms’ share in the Indian smartphone market reduced drastically with the end of the festive sale; the online share was reduced to less than 40% in Nov 2023. Xiaomi emerged as the top player on the online channel, capturing almost a quarter of the share during the month.
The global foldable shipments are forecasted to continue the uprising trends to reach 16 m units in 2023, showing 26.8% YoY.
