OnePlus and realme captured the second and third spots respectively. The share of the INR 1,000-INR 2,000 price band grew to 60% of the overall shipments in Q2 2021 compared to 25% in the same quarter last year.

India Smartwatch market grew 18% QoQ and 206% YoY in Q2 2021. This growth was mostly driven by new entrants and new launches. Noise maintained its lead for the fourth successive quarter in Q2 2021. boAt gained the second position and grew at 34% QoQ. Local brands further strengthened their position in India’s Smartwatch market, contributing more than two thirds of the total shipment volume. The share of the INR 2,000-INR 3,000 price band grew to 54% of the overall shipments in Q2 2021 compared to 5% in the same quarter last year.

India’s Smart band market saw a 23% YoY decline during the quarter ended June 2021. The massive drop is due to the rise in the ASP (average selling price) of smart bands, limited options and change in customer preference in favour of smartwatches, whose ASP is decreasing continuously while offering better functionalities than smart bands at a similar price point. Despite this, we have seen the entry of five new brands in the market in 2021 so far, including Lava, OnePlus, OPPO and pTron. Therefore, the market will still continue to grab the attention of fitness freaks. Xiaomi maintained its lead with a market share of 43%, followed by OnePlus (18%) and Titan (15%) at second and third positions respectively.
