Research Analyst (Consumer Research), Gurgaon

Counterpoint is a fast-growing global analyst firm. Our analysts produce a significant body of research that needs to be optimally presented. We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic consumer research analyst to assist our research efforts.

As a Consumer Research Analyst, you will be developing and contributing original insights on consumer research studies of the tech markets. We expect you will make a significant contribution to the overall research of Counterpoint on a global basis as well as India.

 

The role will involve:

  • Formulating methodology for qualitative and quantitative consumer research studies.
  • Setting the requirements for data collection.
  • Developing the survey tool like questionnaire and discussion guidelines.
  • Data cleaning, tabulation, and analysis.
  • Preparing storyline around the study and setting the structure for the respective deliverable.
  • Interpreting the data and report writing.
  • Presenting the study to the industry experts, clients, prospects, and potential readers.
  • Expressing your industry viewpoint through blogging and sharing weekly industry insights within the team.
  • Vendor coordination and overall management
  • Liaising with clients and internal teams and maintaining a consistent communication with all stakeholders.
  • If gadgets and general technological progress piques your interest, it will help you fit into the role better.

You will also assist in business development:

  • Take the initiative in business development activities in India and Global (if required) including preparing press releases, sales presentations, delivering speeches at meetings and other activities that we have identified as business development.
  • Visit clients/prospects to help identify and develop business opportunities
  • Build strong long-term relationships with clients

Key Skills/Experience Required:

You are a graduate/B-Tech/BE/MBA with 3+ years of relevant work experience

You already have experience in primary consumer and market research (Quantitative).

You can handle a project right from initial client coordination, planning, questionnaire all the way to analysis and presentation.

You hold a thorough knowledge of consumer durables/ tech and telecoms and can express your views clearly and concisely. In addition, you can demonstrate the following:

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Presentation.
  • Understanding of Python/ SPSS and any other survey programming tools is a plus.
  • Ability to share innovative ideas over and above any basic work requirement.
  • Discipline, self-motivation, and a keen interest in analyzing the data and trends in the technology and telecom sectors. You are ready to interpret trends and can engagingly articulate your understanding.
  • High level of analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form.
  • Ability to work confidently as an individual contributor as well as being comfortable as a team player.

Location: Anywhere in India (you will work from home or commute to the office if in the Delhi NCR area or Mumbai area)
