In October 2020, Samsung share increased 1% MoM but declined 1% YoY in October. The volumes are mainly driven by A Series. The M series also continues to do well in India along with the newly-launched online-centric F-series. Among its flagship models, The Note 20 Ultra also did well for Samsung, however S20 series sales slowed a bit.
Apple sales increased 44.4% month on month as iPhone 12 series sales started. Compared to last year, sales declined as new iPhone 12 was only available in the latter half of October and the Pro Max and Mini models not available until November. The delay of the iPhone launch has affected the overall growth of the global smartphone market in October. Huawei’s market share continues to decline and reached 11% in October. Due to supply issues, there has been a lack of new model launches from Huawei, which is also affecting its growth.
