Skyworks Advancing Towards IoT Through 5G and LPWA
"Skyworks’ new multi-band, multi-chip system-in-package (SiP) enables communications over LTE-M and NB-IoT. It has achieved certification by several large operators and is aimed at diverse applications including wearables and asset trackers, as well as industrial and infrastructure applications.
Embedding LTE-M/NB-IoT baseband within a SoC/SiP opens doors for some of the smaller semiconductor players like Skyworks, Sequans, Nordic and GCT to enter the IoT space directly.
