Overview:
LATAM smartphone shipments grew 4.2% YoY in Q4 2023. This is the region’s second consecutive quarterly rise following a double-digit percentage decline during H1 2023. LATAM smartphone shipments fell 3.6% YoY in 2023 as consumer purchasing power was weakened by the economic crisis. This was the biggest drop since 2020 and higher than the previous forecast. The aggressive competition from Chinese brands was unable to offset the decline.
