Overview:
The global smartwatch market in January declined slightly compared to the previous month, but grew by 5% compared to the same period last year.
- The US market recorded moderate growth, growing 6% YoY. Samsung and Apple grew by 7% and 27%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.
- The Chinese smartwatch market experienced a 13% MoM growth in January, benefiting from the pre-effect of the Lunar New Year.
- India smartwatch sales grew 7% YoY primarily driven the Republic Day Sale during the month across channels. However, the discounts this year were limited in value.
