Coronavirus Halts Hyundai Production in South Korea

"The automaker, Hyundai, was forced to halt production due to a shortage of parts caused by the Coronavirus outbreak. South Korea, which caters for 40% of Hyundai’s total global output, was forced to stop production from 7th February 2020.
Many automakers like Tesla, Nissan, Ford Motor, Honda, and PSA Group already suspended production in China. Volkswagen, BMW, General Motors, Fiat Chrysler, and Ford Motor's production outside China remain unaffected, thanks to having enough parts inventory. Hyundai is dependent on China for many parts. Now, Hyundai is looking for alternative suppliers in other regions to minimise disruption. The automotive industry in China and other countries will likely see another year of decline due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
