Overview: India’s smartphone market saw a slight 1% YoY decline in shipments in December 2024 as OEMs adjusted inventory levels. Despite this, the market wrapped up the year on a positive trajectory, posting a 1% YoY growth for 2024. Vivo remained the top smartphone brand in December 2024 with a 23% market share, driven by strong momentum from its Y series and new launches. Additionally, the newly introduced premium X200 series has received an excellent response from consumers. Xiaomi secured the second spot with a 19% market share, driven by strong demand for the Redmi Note 14 series and Redmi 14C 5G. Its expanding offline presence and retailer push helping brand maintain share. Online Channel captured 33% share in December 2024, the post festive demand slump impacted the online shipment. Xiaomi led and captured 21% share on the online channel driven by its newly launched Redmi Note 14 series.
