Windows on Arm to Capture Over One-third of the Market in AI PC Era
Overview: The report provides a holistic analysis of Arm-based laptops and how Arm-based devices will share the PC market. Arm-based laptops continued to grow faster than the overall PC market in 2023, but we observed a slight slowdown in this momentum in the first half of H1 2024. However, with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X platform launch in Mid-2024, we believe Windows on Arm will ride on the AI PC wave and officially make it capture over one-third of the laptop market share by 2029. We also view that other chip suppliers (including partnerships between MediaTek and NVIDIA, Samsung, and UNISoC) may be able to enter the AI PC market later, as Arm-based laptops are being recognized for their upgraded performance and compatibility.
