Gupta added, “As customer onboarding shifts rapidly to digital-first formats, orchestration platforms are playing a pivotal role in shaping this transformation. At the same time, operators are exploring new revenue streams by partnering with fintech and travel companies to unlock alternative customer acquisition channels and drive growth beyond core connectivity. AI is at the helm of driving automating customer onboarding, platforms are using AI to analyze user behavior, predict churn, suggest tailored plans and improve engagement. It is also being used to detect and minimize error and reduce fraud.”

Commenting on the research findings, Research Director Mohit Agarwal said, “Amdocs and IDEMIA emerged as Pacesetters in the eSIM Orchestration CORE Ranking helped by their market-leading platform capabilities and execution. Both players have focused on enhancing platform capabilities by integrating AI, offering more detailed dashboard and reports for quick decision-making. 10TTech, which was the most improved player in 2024, is quickly catching up with the Pacesetters in terms of capability. The company has been focusing on offering a cloud-native platform that offers quick deployment, and a single pane view for multiple SM-DP/+ in the backend.”

In 2025, 10TTech, Mobilise, Kigen and Thales improved the most in terms of capability adding features on analytics and devices. Cisco, Kigen, Tata Communications and Valid progressed to the Leaders quadrant through improved market presence and platform capabilities.

Meanwhile, Invigo, Mobilise, Moflix and triPica emerged as Challengers. Their impressive capabilities – at par with the Leaders – position them well for future growth and increased market impact.

Eastcompeace, HCLTech, and Trasna were categorized as Upstarts, expanding their reach through new partnerships and increased platform deployments. These players are expected to move up the maturity curve as they continue to enhance their offerings.

Background on Capability and Execution Parameters
We have analysed and evaluated key companies in the eSIM value chain using our proprietary CORE framework, which maps active players according to their capabilities and success in the ecosystem. The capability covers criteria such as eSIM lifecycle management, BSS/OSS integration, Authentication, Analytics and support for Entitlement Servers while the ecosystem part covers criteria such as geographical reach, partnerships, financial metrics, pricing models, platform deployments and eSIM device base. Parameters such as Analytics, Automation, Authentication and Entitlement Integration are increasingly becoming important for orchestration players to offer best capabilities through their platforms.
