Laptops are built for all, not just gamers

In a conversation, Lenovo’s APAC Gaming Lead Ian Tan said, “The Legion series is perfect for gaming, 3D designing and modeling, video editing and other leisure activities. The laptops are designed to maximize use cases for a user and offer a wholesome experience."

According to Lenovo, India is home to approximately 500 million gamers, which translates into a huge opportunity for the brand in the coming years. All the laptops are preloaded with a three-month Xbox game pass, which enables users to download over 100 PC games for free for three months. The brand is looking to scale up local manufacturing to bring down the cost of entry for its premium products. It is also working on reducing its carbon footprint with an aim to have zero emissions by 2025.

Are the laptops ready to face the battle?

The laptops launched at the event offer great computing powers but at a high price. Although they offer top-notch specifications at a price point slightly lower than their competitors, they still fall under the super-premium category of laptops (>INR 100,000/>$1250), which have a lower user base currently. The pricing includes comprehensive after-sales support and a warranty with accidental damage coverage, which is a great add-on. However, going forward, with the local manufacturing improvement, we can expect a lower entry price point for such devices.
