Market Highlights Q1 2026

  • iPhone revenues and shipments grew 22% and 9% YoY, respectively. The ASP increased 11% YoY, driven by the continued strong performance of the iPhone 17 series, especially the Pro models, and the delayed launch of the iPhone 17e compared to the iPhone 16e.
  • While competitors were forced into reactive price hikes, Apple’s ability to absorb BoM (Bill of Materials) increases allowed it to keep prices stable, effectively squeezing competition. For example, Apple kept the iPhone 17e pricing the same as the iPhone 16e despite a rise in BoM of around 16%.
  • This price stability, combined with robust global demand for the iPhone 17 series and strong growth in Greater China and emerging markets, helped iPhone consolidate market share and achieve its highest-ever March-quarter revenues.
  • Mac revenues and shipments grew 6% and 7% YoY, respectively, during the quarter. Shipments reached 6.5 million units. However, the ASP for Mac declined 2% YoY, driven by the launch of MacBook Neo, which has rejigged the PC market, which is also struggling with cost increases. Apple set March records for upgraders and customers new to Mac. The ramp-up in production of the MacBook Neo is set to drive even more significant growth in the following quarter.
  • Despite a lower number of launches, iPad’s revenue and shipments grew 8% and 5% YoY, respectively. The demand for iPad was strong despite the MacBook Neo launch, thanks to a mix of both upgrades and new users. During 2019-2021, the demand surge for large-screen mobile devices, spurred by remote work, online education and extended stay at home, drove growth for iPad. This older installed base is now transitioning to Apple’s more powerful M-series silicon. At the same time, Apple noted, over half of the customers who purchased an iPad during the quarter were new to the product.
  • Watch shipments grew 21% YoY and revenues grew 12% YoY. The refresh of the entire lineup in 2025 drove growth. The ASP declined 7% YoY due to the launch of volume-driving SE 3 series. AirPods’ shipments remained flat while their ASP grew, driven by the Pro series.
  • Apple outperformed the respective segments during the quarter and gained market share in the smartphone, PC, tablet and watch segments.
  • Services also continued to grow, reaching close to $31 billion on 16% YoY growth driven by the rising installed base.
