Senior Analyst – Europe

Are you familiar with the developing connected devices industry and bursting with ideas for how to help companies from across the wider technology ecosystem maximize their business opportunity? If so then there may be a good fit between you and Counterpoint Research.

Counterpoint Research is a fast-growing industry research firm that’s doing things a little differently. We are based in Hong Kong with offices in Seoul, Beijing, Delhi, Mumbai, London, Boston, San Diego and Buenos Aires. We have developed proprietary techniques for analysing the connected devices landscape. And as a result of our data quality, client focus and unique business propositions, we are growing fast.

The person we’re looking for will be able to articulate what it takes to be the face of Counterpoint’s research activities in Europe. The role involves working on core research deliverables for global clients looking for quantitative as well as qualitative insights on trends in the European and wider markets. The role may also involve developing research relationships with European companies and assist in expanding Counterpoint’s business in Europe.

Compensation is competitive and can include a significant performance bonus. You should be aware that as a small company you will be working remotely. This affords a good degree of flexibility on location and the company will provide you with the resources you will need to perform to your best in a remote environment, but it can also be challenging.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Experience, knowledge and proficiency in any of these fields: Smartphones, IoT, Connected Car, Internet, Mobile Ecosystems, or the tech industry more broadly.
  • Experience – Minimum 3 to 4 years’ experience in the tech industry preferably in Strategy / Marketing or Competitive Intelligence / Product Management / Marketing role with either OEMs / MNOs / Distributor/ Component Suppliers/ Internet Companies. Time spent as a research analyst will be an advantage.
  • Skillset – Good analytical skills, curious and enthusiastic about new technologies, business models, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English. Other languages a bonus).
  • An active social media profile is advantageous (Twitter, LinkedIn)


  • Germany, Sweden, Netherlands or other European country.
