Research Analyst – Semiconductors & Components

Now, we are seeking a dynamic analyst to join our component research efforts. The candidate should have an engineering knowledge background, and working experience in smart hardware design would be a big plus.

This is global entry-to-junior level Analyst role where you will be developing and contributing original insights on how the component technologies are evolving and exposure to key technology companies across the value chain. This should help you develop knowledge, profile, and grasp of what it means to be a star analyst.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Understanding the component supply chain of smart devices from manufacturing to sales;
  • Tracking the performance and product strategy of key components suppliers;
  • Understanding supply/demand dynamics and the impact on component prices;
  • Help maintain databases related to different components
  • Presenting your industry viewpoints through blogging, thematic reports.
  • Regularly sharing your findings and insights within the team;
  • Handling the ad-hoc requests from internal and external clients;

Key Skills/Experience Required:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field;
  • Basic knowledge of semiconductor components;
  • Self-motivation and a keen interest in analyzing the semiconductor and component sectors;
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience within component industry in a research, product management of technical marketing roles.
  • Fluent writing and verbal communication in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working experience in hardware engineering, smartphone design in particular;
  • Be familiar with the functional structure of the smartphone and other types of smart devices;
  • Be familiar with smart devices components such as screen, camera, chipsets, memory, etc.
  • The ability to work confidently as an individual contributor as well as being comfortable as a team player;
  • High level of analytical and critical thinking skills;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
