Content Editor

Counterpoint is a fast growing global analyst firm. Our analysts produce a significant body of research that needs to be optimally presented. We are seeking an experienced editor to help our team publish excellent content with consistent quality, engaging style and an insightful voice.

The editor will be an important part of the core research team supporting the analysts to drive effective, fact-based and data-centric story-telling. The ideal candidate should possess excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail. He or she will understand how to present quantitative data effectively and be able to convert technical jargon into simple but creative narratives. Experience in building, editing and delivering presentations is also key. Knowledge and experience of how to optimise web content to achieve strong search-engine optimisation scores would be valuable. The ability to edit audio and video content would be an advantage.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in editing and working with industry analysts or sector specialists in the field of journalism.

This is a global role in a fast-growing firm with an entrepreneurial mindset and upbeat culture.
Depending on the candidate either a part time role or a full time role will be available.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree as well as significant relevant experience
  • Prior experience in editing and working with analysts or as a technology journalist
  • First class English writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Able to demonstrate how to visualise quantitative information
  • Experience in editing web content
  • Knowledge of latest SEO strategies would be a distinct advantage
  • Quick learner with an ability to own tasks/projects and implement them independently
  • Experience editing audio and video content is desirable
