Autonomous Vehicles To Drive Semiconductor Development
As vehicles transition from present day Level Two vehicles to full Level Four and Five autonomy, they will need to handle substantially larger amounts of data than ever before. Processing that data in a fast and seamless way will be one of the biggest challenges facing the automotive and technology industries during the next few years.
This report analyses the data processing challenges within the vehicle and, in addition, looks at challenges outside the vehicle, such as the implementation of a data network infrastructure (both cloud and edge based) and the wireless communications technologies required to provide fast and reliable communications between the vehicle and the wider world.
