Assistant Editor (Remote India)

Counterpoint is a fast-growing global market research firm. Our analysts produce a significant body of research that needs to be optimally presented. We are seeking an experienced editor to help our team publish excellent content with consistent quality, engaging style and an insightful voice.

The Assistant Editor will work with the Global Editor and together be an important part of the core research team supporting the analysts to drive effective, fact-based and data-centric storytelling. The ideal candidate should possess excellent editing skills and attention to detail. He or she understands how to present quantitative data effectively and convert technical jargon into simple but creative narratives. Experience in building, editing and delivering presentations is a plus.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate experience in editing and working with industry analysts or sector specialists in the field of journalism.

This is a global role in a fast-growing firm with an entrepreneurial mindset and upbeat culture. Depending on the candidate, either a part-time role or a full-time role will be available. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a test.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prior experience in editing at an analyst firm, business or tech publication/website, or news agency
  • Bachelor’s degree as well as significant relevant experience
  • First-class English editing and rewriting skills
  • Quick learner with an ability to own tasks/projects and implement them independently
  • Desk experience is preferred
  • Clear, crisp rather than dry writing style is preferred
  • Experience in editing web, audio or video content is a plus

Location: Delhi or Gurgaon or Mumbai
